Hand & Power Tools Safety Training

Workplace accidents, injuries and fatalities are usually caused by the improper use of hand and power tools. Hence, Mirdif Security & Safety Consultants conducted a one-day training which emphasizes the importance of proper safeguards and safe operating techniques while using hand and power tools.
Congratulations! to our seven professional labours who successfully attended and completed the one-day training on 11th of June, 2015, namely: Shyamjee Yadav Ram Chandra Yadav, Malaisamy Anchuran, Suresh Kushwaha, Bharat Munna, Lalkishor Yadav Biswnath Yadav, Mahavir Prasad, and Jaiprakash Ram Lalit Vishvakarma.

Being in business for 3 decades is an achievement that calls for a celebration. Omis celebrates its 30th founding anniversary on 02 May 2015 at Le Meridien Hotel, Airport Road, Dubai. The celebration provides the opportunity to share Omis story and to thank all employees. The significant parts are the recognition and awarding of workers who have reached more than 20 years of their services in the company; selection and awarding of 5 workers in recognition of their excellent work performance; and awarding of those who participated in the “Think-to-Create” program.

A Developmental Workshop focuses on Performance Excellence & Creativity held at Radisson Blu Hotel & Resort, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates on 28th of March 2015. The workshop was graced by Omis Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Omar Mohd. Salim Al Owais and Omis General Manager, Engr. Qays Tawfiq Al Barbarawi.
The Guest Speaker, Mr. Suhail Al Bastaki, Media & Communication Manager at UCS, has twenty years of comprehensive community experience and formerly worked as a Field Engineering Instructor in UAE Army, Head of Investigation Section, Manager of Criminal Investigation Section, Manager of Inland Zone Investigation, and later as a Senior Quality Assurance Manager at Dubai Customs. On the other hand, he is also hosting and conducting more than thirty professional courses and workshops in various topics to view social and educational sectors with a different lens.

A Motivational Workshop held last 20 December 2014 conducted by Motivaluate Consulting & Training FZ L.L.C. at Rayan Hotel, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The workshop, headed by Mr. Shridhad Sampath, General Manager of Motivaluate Consulting & Training FZ L.L.C., was participated by Omis Managers and selected Engineers.
The teamwork and team building workshop aims to encourage everyone to explore the different aspects of a team, as well as ways that they can become a top-notch team performers through challenges, actions and enjoyment.
Restart-A-Heart Program

A “Restart-A-Heart” program conducted at our “Al Osaimi Apartments & Beach Resort” project in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai by Expedia Lodging Partner Services headed by its Area Manager, Mr. Sverre Christiansen and his team on 01 September 2014.
This program empowers our people at site to increase awareness and to combat sudden cardiac arrest most specially during the summer season through education and training.
Fire Drill & Emergency Evacuation Orientation

As part of an HSE plan, a fire drill and emergency evacuation orientation has been conducted at our Osaimi Apartments & Beach Resorts project in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai last February 05, 2014 to carry out our HSE policy and practices and in compliance with the set standards, requirements, procedures, and guidelines of the U.A.E. law. This activity aims to provide an orderly emergency response plan for all; to ensure all exit routes at site are not obstructed and can be used in an orderly fashion during emergencies; to ensure fast, organized and smooth evacuation from the workplace during emergencies; to train assigned safety officers to conduct their duties successfully; and to test the working conditions and effectiveness of all fire and emergency equipment at site.

Signing of Contract between Osaimi Real Estate & Investment (Client), Khatib & Alami Consolidated Engineering Consultant (Consultant) and Omis Contracting Co. (Main Contractor) dated 4th of July 2013 for the construction of “Osaimi Apartments & Beach Resort” in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.
The project involves construction of luxury hotel apartments with a total built-up-area of 922,440.60 sq.ft. comprising of a basement level, a ground floor, 6 additional floors and a roof. The mega project also includes construction of a beach resort comprising of a ground floor, an additional floor, a roof, 53 chalets and 4 service blocks.
